Hi, I'm Ema and first of all I'd like to say thank you for visiting my blog. This page is just a little bit about me (boring, I know) and about ~all the good blog names were taken~. Hopefully you enjoy the content and feel free to get in touch with your blogs or post requests etc.

So, best way to describe myself? Well, instead of sugar, spice and all things nice, I'm more sarcasm, wine and bad decisions ... Kidding (I think - I hope) but probably best to start this off with a bit of bad humor anyway, as I'll try keep this as entertaining as I can.

I've never written a blog before ... but I have wrote several diaries. People always say it's good to write your thoughts and feelings down but mine always got read (usually by my mother) and let me just point out that a teenage girls diary should never EVER ever fall in to the hands of their mother dearest, ever.
Really, I am literally just a stationary fanatic. I take notebooks way too seriously and finding a pretty one to write a few pages about all my old boy drama and how much I couldn't wait to move out, was what I classed as a diary.
Now I have no boy in my life and live in run down student accommodation, struggling to afford to eat ... I realise I didn't really have much to whinge about.

The point being though that diaries are supposedly meant to be private; mine never was. It all seems a bit silly writing to yourself anyway? I used to say "I'll be able to read over these when I'm like 20" ... well, I'm now 20. Do I want to read over them? Erm maybe after gouging my own eyes out or jamming a pen in the side of my neck; and for the record, I don't really intend on doing either of those things so the answer to that is no.
Not really what my younger, tender, teenage self anticipated.

So here I am anyway, writing a blog.
My friends and family say my greatest talents are talking, writing, and embarrassing myself publicly so why not?

Enough about me, now about this blog. To start, here's a quick story about me and naming things, which might help clear up any confusion about how this blog got it's name: I once had a black and white rabbit who I wanted to call blackey whitey. I was advised otherwise by my mam (who turns out isn't much better at naming things.) My rabbit was a Dutch breed, guess what he got called? Dutch. Clearly my skills are inherited.
I also had a kitten, she got named Kitty. The end!

This blog is fashion, beauty and lifestyle based but a little bit of everything might pop up. I know you're meant to focus your writing to one subject but I'm interested in a lot of things and I like to keep myself occupied with a lot of different projects in different areas of journalism so hopefully I cover a lot of things and I hope my personality shines through. I'm also in the process of starting a vlog.

To finish off, here's some info about myself. Nothing majorly interesting, just the type of conversational stuff you have about 10 thousand times on like Tinder or something, good old "where do you live?" "What do you do?" kind of crack. The stuff no one really cares about but it's kinda cool to know sort of thing, so here goes:

I live in Newcastle - If you don't know where that is it's in the North East of England and you can get 3 trebles for £5, it's great. I'm at University, just thought I'd mention that because although I may not come across as I do, I do actually have a brain and my alter ego is definitely a super nerd; she comes out from time to time. I study Media and Journalism and would love to work as a Journalist, believe it or not (another bad joke.)

I like big scary dogs and cute cuddly kittens, I love to dance, I'm a qualified lifeguard, I'm a realist, but also an optimist. I could probably be classed as a feminist and I am most certainly a carb and wine enthusiast. Definitely a firm believer of do what makes you happy, do what you're good at and even if you're not good at it, still do it because it makes you happy!

I haven't got a clue where I'll be in ten years. Preferably rich. I think it's most people's life goals to go shopping without checking the price tags. Okay, superficial I know but if I could just skip the whole uni thing and go straight to that part, that would be grand.(ha ha ha.)

And for now, here's a picture of me and Kitty. Who got put on Gumtree because of my evil housemate.
